Rodney – Loan Officer Associate
Hello, my name is Rodney, I am originally from Kansas City, MO. I have been in the mortgage industry for over 30 years. I started this journey out of college with an advertisement that said, “out of college, need a job, call this number”. Consequently, I called the agency, and the story starts there. I was hired as an account executive doing first and 2nd mortgages for my clients with a company called Household Finance. I would get promoted and relocate to Chicago’ IL torun my first branch. There me and my team helped clients achieve their financial goals mainly through the refinance process.
I was recruited from that firm by a small mortgage broker called Heartland Home Finance to have a chance to help clients with refinances as well as purchases. I did this until I was asked to relocate to Detroit to open our first branch, I moved to Detroit in 1997 and officially became a Michigander. Over the course of the next 13 years, we grew that company from two offices to 35 retail outlets across the United States. During this time, I fell in love with the Detroit Real Estate Market, the Diversity of the people, and the overall City of Detroit and surrounding areas.
My family consists of 1 son who attended Western MI University.
Over my time in Detroit ,I have worked for various financial institutions, but the goal has always remained the same. Help people achiever the goal of homeownership
